Frequently Asked Questions

Who Pays the road tax? It is normally included for the full term of the agreement but there are a few exceptions. We will advise you once you have chosen your vehicle.

Who services the car? Maintenance of the car is your responsibility unless you have a maintenance agreement. It is important to get the vehicle serviced as per the manufactures schedule in order to avoid voiding the manufacturers warranty. All vehicles get full manufacturers warranty.

What is a maintenance agreement? All leasing companies should offer you the choice of taking out a maintenance agreement with them. You can get different levels of cover, some will offer a package that just covers the cost of standard services, some will cover you for replacement tyres or roadside recovery, it is important to confirm which level of cover you require and check that you are correctly advised.

What about Roadside assist? You will receive roadside recovery as supplied by the manufacturer you have chosen.

What condition do I have to keep the car in? The exact definition of what is acceptable will vary between finance companies – when you take delivery of your vehicle you will receive a "fair wear and tear guide", as a general rule we would recommend that you treat the car as your own. Whilst the odd stone chip or scuff will be acceptable, accident damage would not. If you should need any clarification on this you can call one of our team and we will be pleased to assist.

How are monthly payments made? All monthly payments are collected by direct debit.

How can the payments on contract hire be so low? Due to the bulk purchases that the leasing companies make they can benefit from large discounts on the vehicles. These savings are passed onto you in the form of cheaper payments!
